Our Approach · Accountability

Visible, enforceable commitments

Commitments that live in press releases are worth what they cost. Ours live in named legal instruments and are publicly visible. We engage the community from day one and view community benefit agreements as an essential part of the development process.

How it works on every project
  • A project timeline with milestones, updated as they move.
  • An engagement log: meetings held, questions received and answered, open items with response deadlines.
  • As projects mature, measured performance: jobs and local hiring, taxes paid, energy and renewable matching, water use against design basis, noise verification results, digital inclusion commitments and their delivery, and community fund contributions and allocations.

How commitments carry through a sale

We structure community benefits to last beyond our involvement. In every jurisdiction, we use the strongest binding instrument available, and we will not treat a community agreement as a marketing document that expires when ownership changes. Where the law allows commitments to be attached to the approval itself, we do that. Each project site states exactly which instruments bind that project and who they bind.
